Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional for a position in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU). This role will involve providing critical care to patients post-cardiothoracic surgery and managing complex cardiovascular conditions.

Shift Information

• Shift Type: Night 12-hour shifts
• Contract Duration: 90 days
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly

Location

Candidate must be willing to travel within a 75-mile radius of the facility. Local candidates within 75 miles will be considered at a reduced rate.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CTICU setting.
• Specialized Skills: Experience with fresh hearts is required.
• Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
• Software Proficiency: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Travel Experience: Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.

Patient Population

The CTICU consists of 6 beds and the common patient diagnoses include:

• Cardiovascular surgery patients
• Cardiogenic shock cases
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) patients
