Position: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist – CT

Shift: Night Rotational, 36 hours/week (7 on/7 off from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM)

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist – CT is responsible for performing and managing the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, responsiveness, and reliability while serving a diverse group of stakeholders, including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. The focus will be on promoting exceptional customer service in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain patient and hospital information confidentiality
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures regarding incident reporting
• Perform other related duties as needed
• Conduct CT procedures as requested by referring physicians
• Implement adequate radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers
• Engage in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures
• Provide patient education as necessary
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiology staff to ensure efficient delivery of CT procedures
• Abide by the service delivery standards of the Radiology Department in all interactions
• Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
• Preferred: N/A

Certification & Licensure

• Required:
  • NYS Radiology Technologist license (NYS Department of Health)
  • ARRT(R)
  • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Preferred:
  • NYS Injection Certification
  • ARRT CT Registration
