Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting and be proficient in performing a variety of radiographic procedures for patients of all age groups.

Shift Details

Shift: Varied 12 hours

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday
  • Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Position patients on the examining table and adjust immobilization devices as necessary to obtain optimal views of the specified areas of the body as requested by the physician.
  • Conduct routine diagnostic procedures with expertise.
  • Move radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment into specified positions and set exposure factors including time and distance.
  • Operate film processing equipment and mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at the patient’s bedside.
  • Utilize radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Prioritize and organize daily workflow effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain basic computer skills for job-related tasks.

Dress Code

  • Hospital blue scrubs (provided)
  • Business casual attire with a lab coat
  • Basic plain personal scrubs (no hooded sweatshirts)
  • Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or clogs)
  • Hair must be pulled back if longer than shoulder length; no dangling earrings

Additional Information

Please note that requested time off during the course of this assignment must be communicated and verified at the time of profile upload. Requests made after upload will not be approved. A maximum of 5 days of time off will be accepted, with fewer days preferred.

This position is located in a small community that lacks public transportation. Candidates must have their own vehicle as this is a firm requirement.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of current X-Ray Technician experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • Proficiency with fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR C-arm is mandatory.
  • Experience with all age groups is required.
  • Previous travel experience is preferred.
  • New Hampshire License of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, BLS, and ARRT certification is required.

Contract Details

Contract days: 91

Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required as scheduled.
