Position Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients’ needs. The Registered Nurse will also identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.
• Document care according to standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule Details

• Shift: Day
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• On-Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: As needed

Qualifications

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience.
• Preferred: N/A
