Position: Registered Nurse

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patients’ needs, and identify priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions while managing care for patients.
• Document care in accordance with established standards and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the integration of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practices.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule Details

• Shift: Night
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• On-Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: As needed

Experience Requirements

• Required Years of Experience: 1 year
• Preferred Years of Experience: 2+ years

Required Skills

• Hard Skills: Assessment, EKG interpretation/cardiac rhythm analysis, hemodynamic monitoring, IV therapy/insertion, medication administration, wound care, patient and family education, working knowledge of inpatient hospice.
• Soft Skills: Critical thinking/problem solving, communication, collaboration, teamwork, attention to detail, composure under pressure, empathy/compassion, adaptability, and patience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Required Licenses: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Required Certifications: RN, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, AHA, CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours).
