Position Overview

This position involves working between the Ithaca and Cortland locations, with advance notice of the assigned location provided each week. The work schedule is structured for 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, with a possibility of Saturday shifts from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including liquid methadone and other injectable medications as needed.
• Conduct dosing calibration and setup at 7:00 AM each day.
• Provide compassionate care to patients, many of whom consider the facility their primary healthcare source.
• Perform general wellness checks and assist with routine clinical tasks, such as taking blood pressure, checking vitals, verifying information, and collecting urine samples.
• Assist the Nurse Practitioner by rooming patients when not engaged in medication administration.

Qualifications

• Experience in rehabilitation or mental health is preferred; however, any experience in an outpatient center will be considered.
• Attention to detail is critical; candidates must be diligent in handling controlled substances and avoiding medication errors.
• Must demonstrate empathy and compassion towards all patients, particularly those dealing with unique and challenging situations.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will work alongside a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner throughout their shifts. Experience with Epic for charting and Evolve for medication dosing is beneficial.

91 days with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
