Overview

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. The Staff RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care (50%):
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings in the patient chart.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment data.
• Evaluation (30%):
  • Assess patient responses to care and update care plans accordingly.
• Supervision (20%):
  • Direct and oversee the delegation of patient care tasks to unit staff.

Specialties

The position involves working with General Medical/Surgical patients, including those in Oncology, Observation, Hospice, and Medical Surgical units.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med-Surg setting.
• Experience in Med-Surg Observation is required.
• Recent experience as a travel nurse is highly preferred.
• Candidates must hold a valid Michigan state nursing license.
• Current BLS certification from AHA is required.

Schedule

The position is for night shifts, working 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday work is expected.
