Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The primary focus will be on planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and establish priorities for care through comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments according to patient needs, physician diagnoses, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care.
• Document care in compliance with established standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule

Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Days: 36 hours (3×12). On-call required. Weekends and holidays as needed. This position is a 13-week contract.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum experience in cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Required certifications: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, telemetry.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Critical care experience.
• Prior experience with EPIC and Sensis systems.

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
