Position: Registered Nurse

Shift:

7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3 x 12 HR Shift, Every Other Weekend Required

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the overall care of patients.
• Document care in accordance with established standards, considering patient acuity and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and support the integration of innovative care delivery methods.
• Provide patient-centered care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule Notes:

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma, in an inpatient setting.

Education Requirements:

• Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required:
  • BLS – AHA Certification
  • New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Compact License
• Preferred:
  • Telemetry Certification
  • Chemotherapy Certification with ONS
