Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care tailored to individual patient needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient needs and determining priorities for care.
• Developing and coordinating individualized plans of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing comprehensive patient care.
• Documenting care according to standards and practices, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocating for evidence-based practice and supporting the adoption of innovative care delivery methods.
• Providing patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice standards.
• Executing other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma, within an inpatient setting.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in additional oncology specialties is a plus.

Education Requirements

• Required Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications and Licensure

• Required:
  • BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• Preferred:
  • Telemetry Certification
  • Chemotherapy Certification with the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
