Job Description

Under general supervision, the role involves providing direct patient care to assigned patients in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care.
• Evaluating the outcomes of nursing interventions effectively.
• Maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills throughout patient care.
• Demonstrating strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
• Utilizing analytical skills to assess patient needs and implement appropriate care.
• Employing effective computer programs to document patient care and outcomes.
• Ensuring high-quality patient experiences and effectively executing service recovery when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience.
• Proficient in advanced life support techniques (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification necessary, with completion expected within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.

Work Environment

The position also requires participation in an on-call schedule, with weekend work determined by the facility’s operational needs.
