Position Details

This position is for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nurse for night shifts, specifically a 3×12-hour schedule from 18:30 to 07:00. The roles are available at a Heart Hospital location with an option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred; candidates with at least 1 year of experience will be considered.
• Travelers Accepted: First-time travelers are welcome; local travelers are also permitted.
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 (with a potential variance to 1:5).
• Weekend Requirements: As needed, with rotating shifts.
• Float Requirement: Yes.
• On Call Requirement: None.

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• CPI preferred (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 55 beds in the unit.
• Daily Census: Approximately 38 patients.
• Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics.
• Specialized Care: Candidates should possess cardiovascular experience.

Facility Details

• Location: Lovelace Medical Center, City and State unspecified.
• Interdisciplinary Support Available: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.

Orientation and Scheduling

New hires will undergo a 24-hour orientation. The modules completed during orientation are billable.
