Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (18:30 – 07:00)

Location: Heart Hospital, City, State

Options for Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years preferred (1+ years will be considered)

First-time travelers are accepted; local travelers are not eligible.

• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: As needed, rotating
• Floating Requirement: Yes
• On Call Requirement: None
• Block Scheduling: Case by case

• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CPI certification preferred

• Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization and Surgery Care
• Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
• Sheath Removal Procedures
• Starting and Maintaining IVs
• Telemetry Monitoring (both on unit and remote)
• Wound Care/Wound Vac Management

Unit Details

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Average Daily Census: 38 Patients
• Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation
• Common Patient Diagnoses: CHF, ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), Non-ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI), Cardiovascular Conditions

Orientation Hours: 24

Travelers may be expected to float to similar units as needed based on the facility’s requirements. A brief orientation will be provided.
