Position Overview

This position is for a Nights Healthcare Professional working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in a Heart Hospital. The role involves providing care to patients requiring cardiovascular monitoring and support.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night 4×12-Hour (18:30 – 07:00)
• Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: As needed, rotating
• Float Requirement: Yes

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year, preferably 2 years of relevant experience in a PCU or similar setting
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Certification Requirements:
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • CPI certification preferred
• Cardiovascular Experience: Required

Unit Information

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 38 patients
• Number of Beds: 55
• Interdisciplinary Support: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Pharmacy

Additional Information

Travelers will be expected to float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements. A brief orientation will be provided upon arrival. Modules, which are billable, will be completed on-site during orientation.
