Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist (PT) for an outpatient setting in New Mexico. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience and is open to first-time travelers, with a New Mexico license accepted even if pending. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break, with no weekends required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in an outpatient setting, managing a maximum of 8 patients per day.
• Conduct one-hour treatment sessions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize EPIC as the electronic medical record (EMR) system; training will be provided.
• Promote professional standards through appropriate dress and closed-toe footwear.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Basic requirement of one year of relevant experience in outpatient physical therapy.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to:
• Manual Therapy
• Dry Needling
• Aquatic Therapy
• Neurological rehabilitation techniques
• Experience with diverse patient diagnoses, including orthopedic and neurological conditions.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Experience in geriatric care and rehabilitation strategies.
• Proficient in adaptive devices and assistive technology.
• Excellent communication and patient family education skills.

Facility Details

This role is located within a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic focusing on various diagnoses, including but not limited to general debility, neurological conditions such as CVAs, and orthopedic rehabilitation. The environment promotes collaborative care with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Speech Therapists (STs).

Additional Information

All employees will receive support in their integration into the clinic, including assignment of a mentor and brief orientation on unit operations.
