Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional for a Labor & Delivery position offering night shifts, specifically 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the Labor & Delivery department.
• Assist in various labor and delivery procedures, including high-risk deliveries.
• Manage patient care during postpartum, antepartum, and labor phases.
• Facilitate effective communication and education for patients and their families.
• Perform nursing activities such as monitoring vital signs and administering medications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Travel experience is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN (Advanced, Beginner, or Intermediate), BLS, NR.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic.

Patient Care Details

• Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients in Labor and Delivery.
• Daily Census: 14 patients.
• Number of Rooms: 14, with a total of 15 beds.
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates and Adults.

Unit Information

• Interdisciplinary support from Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more.
• Daily procedures include administering blood products, aiding in high-risk deliveries, and more.
• Work involves collaboration in a fast-paced environment focused on maternal and neonatal health.

Scheduling Details

• Shifts: 3, 12-hour night shifts per week.
• Weekend Coverage: Required on 6 weekends per contract.
• Pre-approved Time Off: One request allowed.
• Orientation Hours: 24 hours of orientation will be provided.
