Job Description

We are seeking a qualified MSU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves rotating shifts of 4×12 hours, with a combination of day and night schedules. Ideal candidates will bring experience in medical-surgical nursing along with excellent patient care skills.

Qualifications

• New York State License: Must have license in hand to apply
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Charge Experience: Preferred
• Patient Ratio Experience: 5:1
• Charting System Experience: Must have experience with any charting system; EPIC preferred
• Travel Experience: Required

Responsibilities

The MSU RN will be responsible for:

• Interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
• Providing support for rapid response and code teams
• Administering medications and managing peripheral line care
• Utilizing non-invasive airway management techniques
• Maintaining patient safety and following isolation precautions

Unit Details

The nursing unit provides interdisciplinary support including:

• IV Teams
• Physical Therapy
• Respiratory Services
• Pharmacy
• Social Services
• Rapid Response Teams

Child and Geriatric Care

This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients, ensuring compassionate care is provided to all individuals.

Additional Information

Weekend coverage is required, with a flexible schedule to accommodate approved time off. Orientation includes 24 hours of training to integrate new hires into the facility’s protocols and culture.
