This position offers same-day interviews! We are seeking qualified candidates for a nursing role that involves night shifts with possible occasional day shifts. The schedule consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. There is no on-call requirement for this position.

Job Description

As a crucial member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute your professional nursing knowledge and skills to manage and provide care for patients, utilizing the nursing process effectively.

Unit Information

• Bed Size: 24
• Patient Ratios:
  • Days/Evenings: 1:5
  • Nights: 1:6

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications including heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone.
• Provide care for medical-surgical, neurology, and oncology patients.
• Float between Medical-Surgical and Stepdown units as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical experience (first-time travelers with 2 years of experience are welcome to apply).
• Experience with the EPIC EMR system.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Valid state nursing license.

Work Schedule

This position includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates must be available to work two out of three major winter holidays: Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving. Requests for time off will be limited during specified holiday periods.
