Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional for a position in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU). This role will involve providing critical care to patients post-cardiothoracic surgery and managing complex cardiovascular conditions.
Shift Information
- Shift Type: Night 12-hour shifts
- Contract Duration: 90 days
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly
Location
Candidate must be willing to travel within a 75-mile radius of the facility. Local candidates within 75 miles will be considered at a reduced rate.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CTICU setting.
- Specialized Skills: Experience with fresh hearts is required.
- Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Software Proficiency: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
- Travel Experience: Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
Patient Population
The CTICU consists of 6 beds and the common patient diagnoses include:
- Cardiovascular surgery patients
- Cardiogenic shock cases
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) patients
