**Description:**
– Operates electroneurodiagnostic equipment, measuring and recording electrical activity of the brain.
– Assists in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain.
– Prepares patients and collects historical information pertinent to the interpretation of tests.
– Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
– Patients may include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
– Performs Electroneurodiagnostic (EEG) exams and procedures in an EEG lab or intraoperative environment according to appropriate protocols.
– Prepares patients for procedures and collects necessary historical information.
– Prepares EEG equipment for procedures and calibrates and adjusts equipment, ensuring operational status before procedures.
– Maintains equipment in clean, operational condition and notifies the appropriate person/department of any equipment problems.
– Demonstrates an understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures within the standards of practice for an EEG lab.
– Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and services on an ongoing basis.
– Accountable for demonstrating proficiency in skills outlined in the position’s skills list.
– Responsible for maintaining skill proficiency and upgrading any additional or new skills as necessary.
– Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.

**Submission Requirements:**
– 2+ years of EEG experience – Required
– Surgical monitoring for carotid endarterectomy – Required
– BLS (AHA or ARC) – Required
– Pediatric to geriatric experience – Required
– EPIC experience – Required
– On-call availability – Required
– Trauma Level I experience – Preferred
