Description: Job Summary:A Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health involves the delivery of nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care, to provide and ensure safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient care. A day in the life of a Registered Nurse includes: Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation Assessment. Nurses will cover CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine/Pet.Essential Duties:-The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. -Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs. -Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. -Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments. -Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. -Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. -Manages care of patients. -Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. -Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. -Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. -Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation. -Performs age and disease specific assessment / data collection independently in a systematic manner focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status. -Recognizes clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. -Identifies variables in patient/family education needs based on age, disease, and culturally specific learning differences. -Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule Notes:UPCOMING START DATES: 10/6 or 10/20M-F 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM. 5x8s. 13 weeks. Nurses will be utilized in Interventional Radiology s Preop and PACU recovery areas. They should have experience in this area or within a procedural area.Preop/PACU, TELE.
