Description: Job Summary:Under the guidance of the Medical Director of Cardiology, and in a team environment, this position is responsible for providing cardiac diagnostic tests on both in-patient and out-patient basis.Job Responsibilities:-Primarily performs echocardiograms, exercise stress echocardiograms, pharmacological stress echocardiograms.-Performs routine stress tests, pharmacological stress tests, Holter monitors, and ECGs as needed.-Obtains continuing education credits in order to maintain credentialing status.-Provides preliminary echocardiogram report to interpreting physician.-Reviews orders for appropriate ICD-9 codes, enters information into log, and enters charges into computer. Pulls previous test results for comparisons.-Processes ECG including: pulling previous ECGs for comparisons, entering charges, entering the Muse system the physicians corrections to the machine interpretations.-Aids in the preparation of final reports by correcting typographical errors. Copies, distributes and files finalized reports.-Answers the telephone and schedule tests.
