Description: Licensed Practical Nurse – Local $75.95- 6 12s biweekly, no blocked or set scheduling Looking for LPN for our Pediatric Bio Behavioral Unit. Peds experience and psych experience is required. Will be required to work every other weekend and some holidays. Shift will be days: 07-1930. Qualifications: Current New York State license; able to be certified/re-certified in CPR. Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience required. Prior experience in an inpatient setting preferred. Must possess excellentninterpersonal and communication skill. Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skillsnwith patients, family members and other members of the health care team ..nDuties: Able to perform majority of patient care functions needed in an acute care setting with minimalnorientation and supervision. Greet patients, direct to exam rooms, prepare for exam. Routine assistancenduring exams: set up trays for injections, measure and record progress of patients, take and record vitalnsigns. Assist with general office duties, reception, appointment scheduling, tiling and chart preparation.nContact various insurance companies to obtain authorizations for physical therapy, l’vlR’s, CT’s, surgery,netc. Contact primary care physicians to obtain referrals on new patients or extensions of referrals onncurrent patients. Assist physicians in patient care. Maintain exam rooms and all clinical areas.nAdminister injections and assist with paps and other procedures. Experience using Electronic MedicalnRecords strongly desired. Implements nursing care activities under the direction of the primary ornassociate nurse as outlined in the nursing care plan.
