Description: Shift is 1845-0715RN Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient and family support and nursing care within their full scope of practice. This will include participation in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services for patients, families, and the community. The responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient s physical, psychological, emotional educational and spiritual needs as guided by an individualized and ongoing plan of care. The RN will work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Department Overview: CMC ED has 21 monitored beds, 5 psych safe treatment rooms, and 3 hall beds that are routinely used = 29 beds. Additional hall beds are used as needed. The nurses are staffed 4-5:1 depending on acuity. The department has a dedicated case manager and social worker during business hours 7 days per week. The Crisis Evaluators are ED personnel that do mental health evaluations. ED techs are staffed and trained in phlebotomy, EKGs, patient safety observation, etc. Provider staffing includes 3 MDs and 2 PAs working each 24hour period. We are a chest pain accredited organization and a primary stroke center. We do not hold a trauma designation.
