Description: Job Summary: Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. This includes, but is not limited to, assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients’ responses to treatments. Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. Schedule Notes:11:00 AM -11:30 PM Monday, Thursday, FridayWeekends- Required.Holidays- As Needed. At least 4 On Call shifts per month. Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience -RequiredEperience in at least one of the following specialties: REQUIRED – Ortho, Vascular, Davinci,Neuro, Surgery.Experience in all four areas- Highly PreferredBLS-aha Required. CNOR Preferred.Scrub and Circulating Experience-Required. Epic documentation preferred. 1:1 Patient RatioSkills: Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience in at least one of the following specialties: – Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Robotic, or Endovascular Surgery. BLS-aha Required. CNOR Preferred.Scrub and Circulating Experience-Required. Epic documentation preferred. 1:1 Patient Ratio. Must be highly reliable and be available to work all days other then those that were pre-disclosed prior to offer.Must not have alternative jobs that would interfere with HMH schedule being a priority.Education: ASN Required.
