Position Overview

Join our team in a crucial role where you will administer radiation treatments to patients diagnosed with cancer, following the specific plans outlined by a radiation oncologist. Your expertise will be essential in operating and maintaining radiation therapy machines, ensuring accurate patient positioning, monitoring for any adverse reactions, and maintaining comprehensive treatment records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer radiation treatments as per the oncologist’s instructions.
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning during treatments.
  • Monitor patients for potential adverse reactions throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records.
  • Provide patient education and support, facilitating communication while patients are in the treatment room.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • ARRT (T) certification is required.
  • Current licensure in the state of Michigan for nursing positions, verified through LARA and Nursys.
  • Completion of a skills checklist within one year of application for RN specialties is required.
  • Preferred: Skills checklist for other professions outside of nursing.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a standard schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call or weekend shifts required.

Contract Details

This is a contract position with guaranteed hours over a duration of 91 days.
