Shift Information

The position requires working a shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Travelers are required to work one of the following holiday periods:

• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the following Friday/weekend.
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and the following Friday/weekend.

General Information

This role is in a custodial care unit with a lower acuity patient population, and the patient-to-nurse ratio may be as high as 9:1. Candidates must be willing to provide care for these patients as needed.

All necessary medical and occupational health compliance items must be ordered, collected, and resulted within five days of accepting the offer. Documentation must be uploaded accordingly.

Dress Code

Professionally provided scrubs without logos are required.

Technology

The electronic medical record system in use is Epic.

Orientation

Orientation for this position is not billable and does not require hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Provide leadership in collaboration with ancillary nursing and other healthcare personnel to uphold standards of professional nursing practice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg experience.
• Experience with the Epic EMR system.
• Must possess a valid New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.
• A current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certification.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle.
• All relevant time-off requests should be documented in the traveler profile.

Work Schedule

Every other weekend and holidays are required as needed.

Guaranteed Hours

The expected hours for this contract are 36 hours per week.

Contract Duration

The contract duration is for 91 days.
