Position Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for experienced RNs to join a dynamic team in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). We are seeking dedicated professionals who possess a strong background in patient care, specifically in neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory cases.

Details

• Unit: IMCU
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
• Floating Requirement: Yes
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Patient Demographics: Adults (18 years and older)
• Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds
• Contract Duration: 90 days
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Common Diagnoses

• Neurological conditions
• Cardiac issues
• Trauma cases
• Respiratory conditions such as COPD and DKA
• Sepsis and myocardial infarction (MI)
• Post-operative care

Specialty Equipment

• Temperature pacemakers
• Chest tubes
• Arterial lines
• Bipap machines
• Neptune Vapo devices
• Chronic ventilators (with respiratory therapist assistance)

Location

This position is located in a facility in the city, state area.

Requirements

• Must have 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU
• Travel experience is preferred
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• NURSYS report with active NY License and all RN licenses
• References from 2 recent IMCU Charge/Manager RNs
• Skills checklist matching specialty
