Position Overview:

This position offers same-day interviews. Qualified candidates will receive a call from a 405 area code.

Job Responsibilities:

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler will contribute professional and clinical expertise in the provision and management of care for patients. Responsibilities may include:

• Caring for patients in a Med Surg, Post Operative, or Stepdown setting.
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
• Managing a patient load of up to 5-7 patients.
• Providing surgical and post-operative care.

Work Schedule:

This position requires flexibility for various shifts, including on-call duties and holiday schedules.

• Standard schedule: 36-40 hours per week; overtime applicable after 40 hours.
• Required holiday coverage during winter holidays; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving).
• Restricted time-off requests between November 26-30 and December 23-January 2 during the holiday season.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in Med Surg, Post Operative, or Stepdown nursing.
• Current nursing license in Illinois and/or Iowa.
• Completion of a skills checklist within the past year.
• One supervisory reference required at the time of submission.
• Proof of taxable address verification to meet local traveler policy.
