Description: Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.-Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs.-Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.-Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.-Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.-Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.-Manages care of patients.-Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.-Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.-Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.-Float to units within competency as required.-Cardiac Vascular & Post Surgical Stepdown Unit.Skills Schedule Notes:Neuro/Stroke/ Neurosurgery experience Required7:00 PM – 7:30 AM3 x 12 hr shiftsWeekends Required as NeededHolidays Required as NeededNo On-Call RequirementFloat Requirement: Yes, as needed to like unitsRequired Years of Experience: 2 yearsPreferred Years of Experience: 5 YearsRequired Hard Skills: Epic charting experienceVentilator management (preferred)Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.-Must have a strongRequired Skills & Experience:-Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.-Must have a strong MS/Tele background.Preferred Skills & Experience:-Ventilator.-Post-cardiac surgery experience.-Post-surgical experience.MS/Tele background.Preferred Skills & Experience:-Ventilator.-Post-cardiac surgery experience.-Post-surgical experience.Education: Required Education:-ASN.Preferred Education:-BSN.Required Certifications & Licensure:-ACLS-AHA.-NIHSS.-BLS-AHA.-CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours. -Telemetry. -NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.Preferred Certifications & Licensure:-N/AJob Category: Clinical
