Position Summary
This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on patients, utilizing advanced technical equipment and administering contrast materials when necessary. The role includes additional responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation: Prepare the scan room and ensure the patient is ready for examination.
- Patient Interaction: Interview patients to identify any contraindications for MRI studies, clarify the procedure, and answer any questions they may have.
- Contrast Administration: Draw up and administer IV contrast as needed and provide oral contrast material when indicated.
- Equipment Setup: Perform warm-up procedures on the MRI equipment, input patient data, and configure appropriate scan parameters.
- Patient Transport and Positioning: Safely transport patients to the exam room and assist in positioning them appropriately for scans while being attentive to their comfort and safety.
- Image Capture: Execute scans with focus on accurate positioning and identify the need for additional or thinner slices/images.
- Documentation: Ensure proper patient orientation marking and enter images in the correct order using a keypad.
- Record Preparation: Prepare patient records and ensure that all clinical information is complete and that images are organized appropriately for the radiologist.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI.
- ARRT certification required.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment is required.
Work Schedule
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
