Position Overview
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. Travelers may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the market.
Working Hours
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36-40 hours/week
- Overtime: Billable after 40 hours/week
- Holiday Work: Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving)
Unit Information
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Patient Population: CHF, Cardiac Angiogram before and after care, Ablation, Pacemaker, Tee, Cardioversion, Stroke, Management of Cardiac Drips
- Drips Managed: Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardiazem, Nirdipine, Heparin, Lidocaine (titration required)
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of previous Stepdown experience
- At least 1 travel contract completed
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
- Valid state licenses necessary for the position
