Position Overview
This position requires a skilled CT/X-Ray Technologist, focusing primarily on CT procedures while also possessing X-Ray experience. The role demands a high level of independent judgment and critical thinking to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
- Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
- Address and troubleshoot imaging equipment including CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications.
- Adhere to infection control protocols in accordance with departmental and institutional policies.
- Complete mandatory annual education on topics such as bloodborne pathogens and infection control.
- Engage in independent responsibilities as designated by supervisory staff.
- Maintain department competencies as required.
- Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks, including IV insertions and injections.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of current CT experience is required.
- ARRT (CT) certification is mandatory.
- Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
- Ability to function independently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment is crucial.
- Candidates must have their own vehicle.
Shift Details
This position operates on a fixed schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Please note that specific holiday work coverage is mandatory, including availability on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
