Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified MS/Tele RN to join our team for a night shift schedule. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit, primarily focusing on adult and geriatric patients.
Shift Information
- Shift: Night 4×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
- Patient Ratios:
- Day/Eve: 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7)
- Night: 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8-10 if staffing calls in)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage patient care for those diagnosed with cardiac, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and infectious conditions, as well as patients with unmanaged diabetes.
- Provide interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Utilize rapid response teams when necessary.
- Administer oxygen therapy, including the use of nasal cannulas and oxygen face masks.
- Perform peripheral line management and care, including PICC and central lines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
- Document all patient interactions and care using the Epic charting system.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing various airway devices, including non-invasive methods.
- Floating: Must be willing to float within scope, including stable ICU patients and other related units.
- Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Unit Capacity: 22 beds
The unit is supported by a dedicated in-house phlebotomy team and nursing assistants who assist with patient care activities.
