Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid New York license to join our team. This position requires the ability to manage an independent patient assignment with support from a Registered Nurse (RN). The successful candidate will work night shifts, 4 days a week from 19:00 to 07:00, with an every-other-weekend commitment.

Shift Details
- Shift Type: Night, 4×12-hour shifts
- Work Hours: 19:00 – 07:00
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Qualifications
- License: Valid New York LPN license required
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting within the last 2 years; travel experience required
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
- Patient Ratio Experience: Capable of managing a patient ratio of up to 6 patients at night
- Charting System: Experience with Epic is mandatory
Skills Required
- Medication administration, including antianxiety and antihypertensive agents
- Patient monitoring (Vital Sign monitoring, Blood Glucose testing)
- Wound care and management
- Catheter insertion (Foley catheter for male and female patients)
- Emergency response and de-escalation protocols
- End of life care and communication with healthcare team members
Unit Details
Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
Daily Census: Approximately 26 patients
Patient Diagnoses: Includes COPD exacerbations, infections, and issues related to social determinants of health.
Additional Information
Orientation is provided with a total of 16 hours before starting on the unit. Floating to other departments may be required. Collaborative support is available from various interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
