Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated professional to ensure the accurate administration of medication to patients. This role includes determining the clinical appropriateness of medications and overseeing product delivery in compliance with established standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret and clarify orders/prescriptions from physicians and authorized practitioners, intervening when clinically necessary.
- Ensure that all orders/prescriptions are filled in accordance with professional standards, state and federal regulations, and departmental policies.
- Communicate with patients regarding prescription counseling and fulfill educational requirements as mandated by law.
- Maintain accurate documentation of controlled substances as required by the pharmacy department and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee and supervise technical staff during medication distribution activities.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of order/prescription processing.
- Prepare and supervise the compounding of products, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Prepare and execute pharmacy-related documents and reports to comply with regulatory standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Schedule
This position requires a rotational schedule of 40 hours per week, consisting of five 8-hour shifts.

Preferred Skills & Experience
- At least one (1) year of experience as a pharmacist.
Education
Required Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Pharmacy, or
- Pharm.D. in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.

- Current license as a Pharmacist in New York State or possession of a New York State internship permit.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure
