Position Details
This position is for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nurse for night shifts, specifically a 3×12-hour schedule from 18:30 to 07:00. The roles are available at a Heart Hospital location with an option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred; candidates with at least 1 year of experience will be considered.
- Travelers Accepted: First-time travelers are welcome; local travelers are also permitted.
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 (with a potential variance to 1:5).
- Weekend Requirements: As needed, with rotating shifts.
- Float Requirement: Yes.
- On Call Requirement: None.
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- CPI preferred (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 55 beds in the unit.
- Daily Census: Approximately 38 patients.
- Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics.
- Specialized Care: Candidates should possess cardiovascular experience.

Facility Details
- Location: Lovelace Medical Center, City and State unspecified.
- Interdisciplinary Support Available: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
Orientation and Scheduling
New hires will undergo a 24-hour orientation. The modules completed during orientation are billable.
