Job Opportunity
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with expertise in various surgical specialties to join our team. This position involves working in a dynamic Level 1 trauma center and will require strong competencies in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, and Urology.
Shift Details
- Shift: Mid 5×8-Hour (14:30 – 23:00)
- Call Required: Yes, 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks
- Weekend Coverage: Minimum of 2 shifts per contract
Unit and Role Requirements
The ideal candidate will have robust experience in Vascular, as well as heavy exposure to Orthopedic, General, and Urology procedures. Experience with robotic surgeries and neuro cases is highly desired. The operating rooms are equipped for most specialties, excluding heart and transplant surgeries.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an operating room setting, with required experience in Orthopedic, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgeries.
- Certifications:
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: ACLS
- Documentation: None required
- Travel Experience: Previous travel experience is required
Skills and Competencies
- General OR practices and trauma care
- Endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques
- Robotic and neuro surgery procedures
- Vascular surgeries, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair and carotid endarterectomy
- Urological and orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements and fractures
Facility Information
Location: City, State
This facility serves a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 45 patients. With 14 operating rooms and a collaborative team approach, this position offers opportunities to enhance your skills and take part in advanced surgical procedures.
