Position Overview
This position is oriented towards providing exceptional care in a Behavioral Health unit. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience and will be comfortable working with a diverse patient population. First-time travelers are welcomed and will receive a brief orientation upon arrival.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience required in a similar unit
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Experience with patient ratios of 5:1
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- APNA (Advanced Practice Nurse Association) prior to start

Patient Demographics: Adults
Daily Census: 14 patients
Number of Beds: 24
Number of Rooms: 12
Patient Care Details
The unit provides treatment for various behavioral health conditions, including:
- Anxiety disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Depressive disorders
- Psychotic disorders (including schizophrenia-spectrum disorders)
- Substance use disorders
- Trauma and stressor-related disorders
- Suicidal behavior
Staffing & Scheduling
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 for days and weekends
- Weekend Shifts: Required as needed
- Floating: Expected to float to similar units based on facility needs
Orientation and Training
Orientation Length: 24 hours
Modules will be completed onsite during orientation and will be recorded via transcripts.

City: Lovelace, NM
Additional Information
Travelers can expect to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, receiving support from various services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Special procedures and equipment may be utilized as necessary for patient care.
