Position: Inpatient Occupational Therapist
Shift: Day 5×8-Hour (08:00 – 17:00)
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Inpatient Occupational Therapist with at least one year of experience. This position is open to first-time travelers. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a variety of therapeutic settings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational therapy.
- Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT, and NM State License (NM pending applications are acceptable).
Skills Required
- Experience with acute care and various rehabilitation programs, including:
- Amputee Rehabilitation
- Arthritis Program
- Cardiac Rehabilitation
- CVA Rehabilitation
- Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation
- Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation
- And more specialized skills such as Electrical Stimulation, Ultrasound, and Soft Tissue Injury Management
Facility & Patient Care Details
- Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 6-7 patients
- Number of Beds: 62
Interdisciplinary Support
The occupational therapist will work alongside various support teams, including:
- Physical Therapy
- Respiratory Services
- Social Services
- Pharmacy
- Rapid Response Teams
Patient Diagnoses
Candidates should be prepared to work with patients diagnosed with:
- CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)
- Multiple Trauma
- Spinal Surgeries
- Medically Complex Conditions
- Cardiac Issues
Expectations
Traveling occupational therapists may be required to float to similar units based on facility needs. Orientation hours will be provided as part of the onboarding process.
