This position involves working nights for 12-hour shifts, specifically three shifts per week with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours. Candidates must be available to work during holidays.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process while collaborating with other healthcare team members. Responsibilities include maintaining professional nursing standards, following hospital policies, and adhering to regulatory guidelines. The nurse will direct, coordinate, and delegate tasks to support patient and family-centered care.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
- Plan and implement nursing care tailored to patient and family needs.
- Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient requirements.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and professional development.
Additional Information
The role may require floating to different units, including CSU, 3 South, 4 South, and Medical-Surgical units (3 West, 4 West, and IPR). The position is full-time with a required commitment to attendance; an attendance policy is in place to ensure accountability.
Certifications and Licenses
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- A valid Michigan Nursing License is necessary. License verification through LARA and Nursys is required.

Position is based in Macomb, MI.
Contract Duration
This position is offered as a contract for 91 days.
