**Shift:** Night – 3×12
**Description:**
* Certified Nursing Assistant position in Med/Surg Float Pool.
* Shift: 6, 12-hour shifts in two weeks; every other weekend is required.
* Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
**Qualifications:**
* Current New York State certification.
* Must have BLS certification.
* One year of patient care experience.
* Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
**Duties:**
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in teams, exhibiting patient focus.
* Performs direct and indirect nursing care activities (obtaining vital signs, toileting, bathing, and feeding of patients based on patient assignment).
* Works as a safety companion to patients who are deemed a safety risk.
* Demonstrates knowledge of normal growth and development.
* Responds to changing patient needs and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
* Problem-solves and maintains a safe work environment.
* Participates in quality improvement and communicates effectively with members of the health care team.
* Maintains positive public relations and obtains/records/exchanges/conveys information for the patient.
* Takes an active role in personal and professional development.
* Makes decisions based on ethical principles.
