Description: Job Summary: Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. This includes, but is not limited to, assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients’ responses to treatments. Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. Schedule Notes:Patient population is anywhere up to 40 cases from 7:30am-11:00 pm. Per day.Days- 9a-9p2+ years of OR Experience as an RN requiredMust be able to Scrub and Circulate Experience in a variety of cases is needed:General OR, joint, spine, robotics , vascular (high acuity), plastics, ENT, GU, Kidneys.13 Week Contracts ONLYNo RTO requests in 1st 30 daysNo weekend requirement at this time.No holiday requirement No on call requirement at this timeNo float requirementSkills: Minimum qualifications required for services: Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.Education: Valid New Jersey or multi-state compact RN license.Certifications Required: BLS-AHA, NIHSSCertification Preferred: ACLS-AHAJob Category: Clinical
