Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of patients through comprehensive nursing care. This position is focused on promoting health, preventing illness, and alleviating suffering by effectively managing patient diagnoses and treatments.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a designated group of patients, serving as the primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment.
- Educate patients and their families on health promotion and disease management using available resources.
- Administer medications safely and according to established hospital policies, leveraging knowledge of pharmacology.
- Contribute to effective resource utilization, including staffing, time management, and supply management.
- Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Engage in the Nursing Shared Governance Model by participating in unit councils and quality improvement initiatives.
- Commit to professional development through continuing education and completion of mandatory training.
- Integrate nursing research and evidence-based practices into daily operations.
- Provide mentorship and support to new employees and nursing students.
- Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties as assigned.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required.
Schedule Information
This is a night shift position, requiring 36 hours of work per week with a rotation that includes working every other weekend.
Qualifications

Preferred Skills & Experience
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
Education Requirements
Required Education
- Associate’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing.
Preferred Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Certifications & Licensure
Required Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse License in New York State.
- BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
Preferred Certifications
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
Work Environment
This position is located in City, State. The RN will work in a supportive and collaborative clinical environment, dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.
