Shift Details
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week through three 12-hour shifts.
Orientation and Shift Start
Orientation is scheduled for Friday, December 5, during the day shift. Night shifts will commence on Sunday, December 7, or during that week.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will demonstrate clinical expertise by utilizing the nursing process effectively. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and identifying patient needs and problems
- Establishing and implementing a plan of care
- Evaluating and revising the care plan based on patient progress
The position focuses on managing high-risk pregnancy cases, including but not limited to:
- Preterm labor
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes management
- Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)
- Prenatal testing and amniocentesis
- Conducting childbirth education classes
Requirements
- Current experience in obstetrics and labor & delivery
- Experience in Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) is strongly encouraged
- Experience with postpartum, maternity breastfeeding, and Apgar testing
Certifications
- AWHONN
- NRP
- BLS (AHA)

Work Schedule
This position requires every other weekend or holiday rotation if scheduled.
