Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team. This position is ideal for candidates with strong emergency care backgrounds and a focus on pediatrics. Candidates must be prepared to handle a diverse patient demographic, including newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Location: City, State
• Shift: Day shift, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (block scheduling is not guaranteed)
• Unit: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 64 (including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych beds)
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
• Charge Capability: Highly preferred
• Floating Required: Yes
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing, with pediatric experience preferred
• Current AHA certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC certification must be held at the time of application)
• Active Registered Nurse license in New York, along with verification of all RN licenses
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC
• Recent charge nurse or manager references from emergency department settings

Contract Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly
• Contract Duration: 90 days
