Description: Physical Therapy Assistant- 5×8 daysDaily patient load- 10-12No Call/float1 Year minimum experience in acute careScrubs, any colors; no camoCertifications Required: PTACertifications Preferred: BLS50 bed hospital with census of 360ish; 7 floors where our team provides therapy services; trauma level 3 hospital; see ortho, neuro, oncology, post op back, necks, basic med surg and icu (medical, cardiac and surgical); 8-10 PTs/day; 6-8 PTAs per day on staff; work closely with OT and ST team as well as case management.Skills Required: Actute care, home exercise programs, lifting and transfer, medications, patient family education, patient transport to/from treatment, safety and injury preventionUnits supported: cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, med/surg, neurology, oncology, orthopedicsAssessment Skills: adaptive devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, arousal and attention, assistive devices, body mechanics, environmental barriers, pain assessment, sensory response, skin integrity, strength testing, vital signs.*50 mile radius rule in effect. The traveler must live at least 50 miles from the facility. If they live within 50 miles from the facility, they are not qualified.
