Non-Billable Hours = 0.0Nuclear Med Tech- Local $134Shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm Possible evening and weekend on-callQualifications: A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration, plus one year CT/MRIexperience as a radiologic technologist required. Must successfully pass pre-employment healthclearance.Duties: The radiologic tedmologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations under the directionof departmental radiologists. The technologist will greet the patient, explain to them the examinationthey are about to undergo, position the patient, set the proper exposure factors in order to obtain therequired quality radiograph. The technologist will also practice appropriate radiation safety andprotection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure. Technologist will also havea sufficient knowledge base to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively in order to obtainquality studies and to report any malfunctions with equipment to immediate supervisor. They will alsobe responsible for processing films, inputting information into the Radiology Information System fordocumentation and billing purposes. This position will also be responsible for the proper use of imagingequipment and following department procedures and protocol as defined in the Policy and ProcedureManual. This position is mainly responsible for providing radiologic examinations based on referringphysician and radiologist needs.Internal VMS: 759339 VectorVMS
