Non-Billable Hours = 0.0″Local- $116.50Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00a – 4:30pQualifications: AAS or AMA certified program, RRT license with three to five years related experience, and NYSlicense. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.Duties: Responsible for the delivery of radiation therapy to patients as prescribed and under the regulations ofthe National Cance1+ Institute. Incumbents must have in-depth knowledge of high-voltage, state-of-theartradiation therapy equipment with safety standards and to properly maintain same. Coordinatespatient appointments; interprets prescription and delivers radiation to patient in accordance withphysician’s instructions; prepares and operates all types of radiotherapy equipment, (i.e. Co-60, LinearAccelerator, Simulator, etc.); takes radiographic film to confirm treatment volume; performs pretreatmentduties by operating the Simulator, for localization of tumor size and position, taking thecontour and collecting all physical factors for the treatment plan, taking photographs of patients forportal verification; assuming responsibility for providing all safety measures for patients, recognizingall types of radiation reactions and for providing proper care and instructions to patients; assumesresponsibility for compliance to departmental and regulatory policies and procedures; recording andmaintaining treatment records and port films; participates in the department’s in-service andeducational programs, and coordinates departmental and in-patient activities to provide proper patientcare.Internal VMS: 759277 ( Vector VMS )
