Description: Job Summary:Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.-This includes, but is not limited to, assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients’ responses to treatments.-Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. Schedule Notes:7:00AM-5:30PMOn Call- Required: Minimum of 3 On Call shifts/per Month.Weekend on Call- Required (1-2 of the 3 On Call Shifts).No Holidays. 13 week Assignment. Surgical Operating Room.BLS-aha, ACLS-aha, NIHSS- Required.2 Years Minimum Experience- Required.Circulating + Scrub Experience-Required. Experience with Epic and EMR-Highly Preferred.Epic Training will be given prior to start. Scrubs provided. Must be highly reliable and be available to work all days other than those that were pre-disclosed prior to offer.
